OFAC adds 8 new crypto addresses to sanctions list

2 min read · November 2026

Eight addresses across SOL and ETH entered OFAC's sanctions list in the latest update, bringing the combined list WalletDNA screens to 1,068.

Between the previous run and today, 8 cryptocurrency addresses newly appeared on the sanctions lists WalletDNA screens against. OFAC issued all 8 of the new listings. The breakdown by chain, inferred from address format rather than stated by OFAC, is SOL: 4, ETH: 3, Unknown: 1.

The combined list WalletDNA screens against now totals 1,068 addresses. That figure spans every issuing authority WalletDNA tracks, not just today's additions.

What this means for your work

A fresh OFAC listing changes the risk status of any wallet that has touched one of these addresses, retroactively as well as going forward. If a client, counterparty or case subject has interacted with any of the newly listed addresses, that exposure now needs to be documented and assessed under your current sanctions obligations.

Because chain attribution here is inferred from address format and not confirmed by OFAC, treat the SOL/ETH/Unknown split as a working label rather than a verified fact when you write it into a report.

What you can do

  • Cross-check addresses in your case files or client wallets against OFAC's Sanctions List Service API directly.
  • Confirm the current status of any address before relying on this summary, since sanctions lists change between screening runs.
  • Check the EU Financial Sanctions Files and the UK OFSI consolidated list separately if your jurisdiction requires it, since OFAC listings don't automatically mirror those lists.

If a wallet you're reviewing has transacted with any address on this list, that's a fact worth flagging on its own, regardless of what else you find.

WalletDNA screens wallet activity against the combined sanctions lists it tracks, including the OFAC additions covered here, so you can check exposure without pulling each list manually.
