Your first wallet check

A client has handed you a wallet address and you have not done this before. This page walks through one real engagement, start to finish, on the address you actually need to check. Five steps, roughly two minutes.

Start with your client's wallet

Paste the address your client gave you. This runs a real analysis on the live chain, not a sample, and it uses one of your monthly analyses. If you do not have a client address to hand yet, the finished example report shows the same output without spending anything.

Before you start

  • A wallet address is public. Checking one involves no access to your client's funds, keys or exchange accounts, and nothing you do here can move anything.
  • The free plan includes 5 analyses a month, and this walkthrough spends one of them.
  • An address alone does not prove who controls it. Where control has to be established rather than assumed, use signed-message attestation, which has the holder sign a challenge with the wallet's own key.
  • If the engagement is a dispute rather than a verification, the tracing workflow for litigation is the better starting point.
